This is a project I have been working on at the Drake Hotel with the talented computational artist Bronwyn Miller. It is an automatic video collage which uses ephemera pulled from the net. It runs on top of Scala broadcast software, which the Drake uses to run a 24 hour in house TV channel. Robot VJ is like the subconscious of the system. When the rational time based programming grid reaches a gap Robot VJ comes in and resolves it with ever cycling arbitrary collisions of imagery.

This was my first live video mixing gig. Here is a clip with a few highlights from the night. This was fun but a lot of work to prepare. Also the first night I heard my friend Josh spin his amazing new DJ project Kids and Explosions. Check out his site for a recording from that night.

I shared the stage with the talented Mario Klingemann and his Anavision engine. This is really powerful flash based auto collage project which uses YouTube and Flickr.
